Governance · Core

Governance that
stays in view.

Choose the session’s autonomy, understand its permissions, and keep the evidence close when it is time to review.

What you get

Choose the mode.

Move between discussion, planning, review and implementation. Autopilot adds turn, spend and changed-file budgets, checked between turns.

See the permissions.

Inspect the active mode and its provider-specific restrictions from the session. Claude and Codex apply controls differently; the permissions view explains the distinction.

Review the evidence.

Inspect changed files and individual hunks. Mark what you have reviewed and flag what needs attention before deciding how the work should proceed.

Every decision, on the record.

The governance pane keeps a timestamped log of the session: mode changes, tool calls that were denied or allowed, the plan awaiting your approval, and each budget check. Nothing about how the work was allowed to proceed has to be reconstructed later.

Questions about Governance.

What does the session mode do?

It sets how much the agent may do, from discussion and planning through review to implementation. Autopilot adds turn, spend and changed-file budgets, checked between turns.

Can I stop the agent?

Yes. You choose the mode before the work starts and can change it, and a plan waits for your approval before implementation proceeds.

What does review show me?

The changed files and the individual hunks, so you can mark what you have read and flag what needs attention. Review marks record your reading; they do not revert files or certify the work.
